Online Quranic Arabic Course

Mishkah Academy’s Online Quranic Arabic Course is a one-on-one live program for anyone who wants to understand the Quran in its own language, without relying on translation. Rather than teaching Arabic as a general skill, this course is built entirely around the Quran itself — its vocabulary, its grammar, and its meaning — so that every lesson brings you closer to understanding the words of Allah directly.

This course works well alongside our Tajweed Course (for correct recitation), our Tafseer Course (for deeper interpretation), and our Noorani Qaida Course for absolute beginners who have not yet learned the Arabic alphabet

What Students Will Learn in This Quranic Arabic Course?

Mishkah Academy’s Quranic Arabic Course covers the specific vocabulary, grammar, and word structures that appear in the Quran — not generic conversational Arabic.

The Most Frequent Words in the Quran

A relatively small set of root words accounts for the majority of the Quranic text. Students learn these high-frequency words first, so comprehension builds quickly rather than starting from scratch with rare vocabulary.

Artboard 1 copy 9

Basic Quranic Grammar (Nahw)

Understand how Quranic sentences are built — recognizing nouns, verbs, and particles, and understanding why word endings change (i’rab), which is often the single biggest barrier to understanding meaning directly from the Arabic text.

Artboard 1 copy 8

Word Structure and Roots (Sarf)

Nearly every Arabic word is built from a three-letter root. Once you recognize roots and their patterns, you can often deduce the meaning of new Quranic words you have never seen before.

Reading Quranic Verses for Direct Meaning

Move beyond memorized translation and begin connecting each Arabic word on the page to its meaning in real time, verse by verse, with your tutor guiding every step.

A Foundation for Tafseer and Deeper Study

Understanding the Arabic behind a verse is the first requirement for meaningful Tafseer study — this course prepares students who want to eventually study Quranic interpretation in depth.

Our Curriculum for the Online Quranic Arabic Program

Our Quranic Arabic curriculum takes students from their very first Quranic word to genuine, independent comprehension of Quranic verses — always using real ayat as the learning material, never generic textbook Arabic.

Learning Levels of Our Online Quranic Arabic Classes

icons 33

Beginner Level

For students with little or no Arabic background, focused on Juz’ Amma (the 30th part of the Quran). Students learn the most common Quranic words and basic sentence patterns using short, familiar surahs. Students who cannot yet read Arabic letters begin with our Noorani Qaida Course first.

Intermediate level

Students expand into Juz 29 and 28, working with longer verses and more varied grammar. This level introduces the interpretive dimension — how grammar choices in the Arabic text connect to differences in meaning that a translation cannot show.

Advanced Level

Students work through chosen surahs or sections from across the entire Quran, reading directly and confidently, with reduced reliance on translation. This level prepares students who want to continue into a full Tafseer Course or deepen their study with our Classical Arabic Course.

Most Important FAQs?

What is the difference between Quranic Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic?

Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is the form used today in news, books, and formal speech. Quranic Arabic is the classical form used 1,400 years ago, with more complex grammar and denser meaning per word. The two share the same alphabet and much vocabulary, but Quranic Arabic requires dedicated, Quran-specific study — general Arabic fluency alone will not unlock the Quran’s meaning.

Do I need to know Arabic before starting this course?

No. Complete beginners are welcome. If you cannot yet read Arabic letters, we recommend starting with our Noorani Qaida Course first. If you can already read Arabic, you can begin directly with Quranic vocabulary and grammar.

How long does it take to learn Quranic Arabic?

Most students reach a solid, functional understanding of common Quranic vocabulary and basic grammar within 6 to 12 months of consistent study. Deeper mastery — reading unfamiliar surahs independently — typically takes 1 to 2 years, depending on prior background and weekly class frequency.

Will this course help me understand Quran Tafseer better?

Yes — this is one of the main goals of the course. Understanding the Arabic grammar and vocabulary behind a verse is the essential first step to studying Tafseer meaningfully, rather than relying entirely on a translator’s interpretation.

Is this the same as a general Arabic conversation course?

No. Our Arabic Conversation Course focuses on everyday spoken Arabic. This Quranic Arabic course is built entirely around Quranic vocabulary, grammar, and verses, since the two serve very different goals.

Can children take this course, or is it only for adults?

Both. We tailor the pace and teaching style for the student’s age — children build vocabulary through short, familiar surahs, while adults typically move faster into grammar and independent verse analysis.
