- To permit, to allow, to sanction, to authorize.
The word “licence” is generally translated as “licence”, “certificate” or “authorization” which gives permission – and even the right – to the holder to impart their knowledge to a particular text or subject they have studied. The degree is given by someone who already possesses and masters this knowledge and is therefore in a position to pass it on to another person, who has taught the student (recipient of the Ijazah) directly, usually through direct teaching (no third-parties or unspecified giver of Ijazah!).
What Is Ijazah In Quran
Ijaza (in Arabic: ijazah) is a certificate used primarily by Sunni Muslims to indicate that a person has been authorized by someone with the same ijazah certificate to teach the Holy Qur’an.
Quran Ijazah Meaning
Ijazah al-Quran or Ijazah means “permission” in Arabic. It is called a certificate of authorization because it allows the holder to teach the Qur’an and to award the same certificate to qualified learners.
Prophet PBUH who said:
“Take the Qur’an from four: Ibn Masoud, Abu Ibn Ka’b, Mu’adh bin Jabal, and Salem Mawla Abu Hudhaifa”.
